  1.                PLANET PATROL INSTRUCTIONS

  3. INITIAL SETUP
  4.  
  5. 1. Insert game into your Atari 2600 (with power off).
  6.    Then turn power on. You will see the initial screen.
  7.  
  8. 2. Plug in a joystick controller.

  10. OBJECT OF GAME
  11.  
  12. Your assignment is to patrol your planet day and night.
  13. As you fly your space craft you must avoid enemy fire and
  14. destroy their spaceships. Don't forget to refuel
  15. occasionally or this could make your mission a short one.
  16. Beware of sunset because as soon as the night creeps in,
  17. the dark makes your task become impossible.
  18.  
  19. FUNCTIONS
  20. * To start, press SELECT to set level then press RESET
  21. * Move joystick up and down to move your white spaceship.
  22. * Fire at orange enemy ships, using firing button.
  23. * Dock with black ship, this will allow you to land later
  24.   and refuel.
  25. * Enemy refuelling depot. There are 3 of these, you must
  26.   destroy them before you can continue to next stage.
  27. * Mine fields - these follow immediately after the
  28.   destruction of the fuel depot. You can't fire at them,
  29.   the only thing you can do is dodge them.

  31. LEVEL SELECT
  32.  
  33. 1 = 1 Player slow       2 = 2 Players slow
  34. 3 = 1 Player fast       4 = 2 Players fast

  38. When nighttime falls and it's hard to see the enemy,
  39. fire at random to get some light to show you the way.
